General Description:
The main aim of the role is to ensure the smooth day to day running of a retail location. The role will involve managing a small team of retail staff, banking, observing stock levels, conducting stock takes, general maintenance and security of the store, assisting with visual merchandising as required and offering a high level of customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Understand the Company and individual store business objectives in order for the store to trade profitably
2) Work within company ethos and ethics to achieve the business objectives
3) Implement and uphold Company policies and procedures
4) Ensure stock replenishment activity is carried out effectively in the store
5) Supervise the receipt of deliveries
6) Ensure company security and health & safety standards are met in the store
7) Ensure shop maintenance is carried out safely and quickly
8) Assist with visual merchandising and marketing standards and display
9) All day to day staff management including implementing all HR policies determined by the HR department and Retail Operations Manager along with training and development of new and existing staff.

10) Supervising and ensuring the levels of customer service provided in the store remain high
11) Responsibility for shop security including control of keys and response to alarm systems
12) Ensure that open communication is maintained with head office and that all administration is completed on time and correctly
KEY SKILLS
Key performance indicators might include the following:
Expected daily/weekly/monthly duties
DAILY
Banking, cleaning, staff supervision, merchandising, stock replenishment.
WEEKLY
Staff meetings to discuss store performance, training, stock returns, stationery requests.
MONTHLY
Health & safety risk assessments, salary reconciliations, staff rotas, module training reviews, PC administration (file deletions etc).
